SAT is a standardized exam for high school students looking at studying in universities in India or abroad. It assesses students in 2 core areas – Reading & Writing and Math. It is accepted in the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and 43 universities across India. SAT exam preparation is getting familiar with the SAT exam’s structure and pattern. The SAT exam is a 2-hour and 14-minute long test consisting of two sections, namely the Reading & Writing and Mathematics section. Both the sections further consist of two modules each. The total SAT exam score is 1600.

SAT ELIGIBILITY
There is no minimum or maximum age limit to give SAT. Any student who has passed the high school exam is eligible to apply. There are no restrictions in the number of attempts to give SAT. It is conducted 7 times a year in India- in the month of March, May, June, August, October, November, and December.
SAT SCORE
SAT has a composite score of 1600. The verbal section and math section are of 800 marks each. There is no penalty for wrong answer. SAT score is valid for 5 years.

SAT Reading & Writing Section
The Reading and Writing section of the exam comprises passages of various lengths, ranging from 25 to 150 words. These passages cover a range of topics such as literature, history/social studies, the humanities, and science.

As in the case of the ACT, there are no restrictions set by the College Board, students can take the SAT exam as many times as they want. SAT is administered seven times a year in India.
